Padfield leather is tanned using traditional methods in Somerset, England, UK. We work with the hides from farming, as we believe this to be the most sustainable source of natural leather.
Padfield Traditional Pebble Grain Leather
Our Traditional Pebble Grain leather is a full grain water resistant leather. It has a rich even colour and a beautiful even grain finish. Dyed entirely through the hide, this leather will not show scratches easily as surface tanned leather. It will wear well, becoming softer and developing a unique patina as it ages.
With so many luxury leather handbags being heavy when empty, we decided to reduce the thickness of our leathers. As a result our accessories have all the same great qualities of natural leather, however, you benefit from a lighter weight finished accessory.
Padfield Moonstruck Nubuck Leather
Unique to Padfield our Moonstruck leather is a soft handle Nubuck with a distinctive embossed texture. During the tanning process our leather is treated with a water resistant technology. This technology will help the leather, if left to dry naturally, return to its original form.
As we emboss this leather with a matt silver foil, the result is a gorgeous unique pattern reminiscent of an exotic animal print. We love this leather! For both the visual and textural qualities, whilst retaining all the natural strength and durability of natural leather.
Padfield Grey Smooth Leather
Our grey Moonstruck leather tote bags and accessories are lined with our smooth soft grey leather. As with our Traditional Small Pebble leather and Moonstruck leather, we have tanned our grey lining leather all the way through.
Padfield Red Suede Leather
Our suede leather, in a bold red, is a statement lining featured across most of our black and tan Pebble Grain leather accessories. Selected for its rich colour and luxurious soft hand-feel, our suede is durable and colourfast tested.
Whilst we carry out colourfast tests on our suede, as good practice we advise that care should be taken, especially with lighter colour materials. Please refer to the Care Advice tab, available on each product page for product care and colour care advice.
